2.1- Development of training module on Enterprises Management for hotels
CBC consultants have developed a training module on Enterprises Management. This module’s main objectives are: (i) to have hotel owners and managers apprehend methods and techniques to understand and manage efficiently an organization; (ii) Facilitate their uses of management tools and techniques in their businesses.
Main themes covered by this module are:
- Definition of organization management concept
- Management theories and approach
- Business idea and enterprise project
- Characteristics and qualities of an effective business manager
Three questionnaires have been designed for participants to evaluate their characteristics as manager, their management skills and their capacity to delegate.
2.2- Development of training module on Human Resources Management for hotels
A specific module on Human Resources Function for Effective Management has been adapted to the hotel sector by CBC consultants. Working sessions with owners and managers of Villa Créole, Visa Lodge and Karibe Hotel has facilitated the adaptation of the module to the target group. This module objective is to enable hotels owners and managers to:
- Understand and describe the importance of Human Resources in hotel management;
- Understand the role of each operational activities of Human Resources Management;
- Develop an action plan in Human Resources Management and implement it in their hotel.
Main themes covered by this module are presented in power point:
- Inventory and description of problems in human resources management in the hotel sector.
- Human Resources Function theory.
- Inventory of intervention channels in human resources management to solve problems encountered.
- Development of an action plan for human resources management for the hotel sector.

2.3 - Development of training module on Marketing and Sales for hotels
Through internet researches and meetings with operators in the hotel sector, CBC consultants were able to develop a training module on Marketing and Sales adapted to the hotel sector.
The main objective of this module is to enable hotel owners and managers, in the Jacmel region, to describe the four important components of marketing, the 4 “P”: product, price, place and promotion and to discuss ways of improving marketing and sales strategies for their business and the tourism sector.
